As lawyers, this makes our jobs a lot easier. About time.

You don't need to hang clothes outside if you keep the aircon on. Aircon pulls the moisture out of the room. I hang my clothes by the closed window and they dry in no time. Zero mold problems.
This one has a 99 survival instinct.
I've always found this fascinating. I actually think Filipina women look better darker. It's a personal choice of course, but to me they look healthier with their natural color.
I've said this several times in other threads. Some people seem to reject, with every fiber of their being, the idea of doing honest work for honest pay. Even if you pay more and treat them generously. They think that if they're not ripping you off, they're the ones getting ripped off. In other words, if you're satisfied, something's wrong. People like that would be better off rotting away idle at home, and that's what they deserve. Don't give these people a single peso.

Once I asked a criminal lawyer how it feels to defend someone you know is guilty. His answer was: "My job as a lawyer isn't to prove that you didn't do it. It's to make the government prove that you did. To do that, I have to poke holes in everything the government puts forward, and interpret whatever story they build in a different way."
The $90 is a one-time Medicare payment to help cover your October Part B premium. The email or letter explaining it is expected in mid-October, so the deposit can show up first. I'm closing comments on this post so it doesn't turn into a political discussion.
Sure, because Vietnam is a lot cheaper and better value for money than the Philippines. So many locals I've met are choosing Vietnam over traveling domestically.
Many shark attacks on surfers happen because the shark looks up from below and mistakes the person for a seal (wide board, awkwardly flailing arms and legs, etc.) Just wait until the shark realizes there's a real seal on the board.
JMV Works is my neighbor. One of the best in town. I've been in Baliuag forever. We all know each other here
I stopped by the top-rated restaurant on TripAdvisor in Puerto Princesa, tons of glowing reviews. Nobody came to help me, then I finally spotted the foreign owner behind the bar. He stared at me for a few seconds and said "What do you want?" like I was bothering him. Turns out they weren't even open yet — they were still moving in the furniture and kitchen supplies! He went out of business very quickly, and good riddance.

So you buy a Dutch girl and resell her as a French girl… that's profit.

Okay, here's the trick. Roll paper towels up into turd shapes. Soak them in cooking oil. Lay them in the bottom of the grill in an X. Use coconut charcoal pieces to build a little cave over the paper towels. Light the center of the X, then cover it with wood charcoal. In about 10 minutes you'll have a fire you can cook on.
Something's spreading through an a-hole-to-m-hole routine? Sounds wild, man.
I hope that person had the best time of their life.
We moved here in 2020 with two teenagers. Their school in the US had already shut down because of COVID, and when we got to the Philippines, the schools here were closed too. So it was a year later that they finally started public school here, in grades 11 and 10. It was definitely a wild adventure, but if your kid is resilient and flexible, she'll be okay. Honestly, the hardest adjustment for my kids was the mandatory uniforms. Most subjects were taught in English, except the Mother Tongue class, which was in Tagalog. They rolled with the punches and made the most of it, and ended up being elected to student government and even winning Prom King and Winter Princess. A lot of people will say terrible things about public schools here, but honestly it was a huge blessing for us. My kids learned so much about the culture and made lifelong friends.
It's definitely easier and faster now for Filipino citizens who divorced abroad to change their status to single in the Philippines and remarry. A Filipino citizen needs - the final divorce decree from the local court where it was granted. It has to be an absolute divorce - a VitalChek divorce document as an additional document, which can be ordered online - the marriage registration document in the Philippines - a petition for judicial recognition of foreign divorce - an affidavit - a special power of attorney - a lawyer's acceptance fee of 100k–150k pesos - other miscellaneous expenses of 50k–100k pesos

Just throw it in the washing machine. Whatever happens, it was going to happen anyway. The sturdy clothes survive, and the weak ones don't. I don't need weak clothes.
Yes, at Bank of Commerce. 30 days to clear.
I'm not sure I'd demand to see her account before a first date. Maybe meet her and see how it goes.
