Hi! I have a unit available for rent with great amenities, good security, and a well-maintained environment. It's walking distance to a shopping mall and the train station, and 15 minutes from BGC Taguig, MOA (a nightlife district), major highways, and NAIA airport. Feel free to message me. To answer your question, the landlord is the one who pays the agent's commission.
What a weird post

Yes, they call it corn rice here!
Not particularly interested in hanging out with old conservatives with 20-year-old girlfriends.
My opinion: never tie yourself down by buying in the later years of your life. Rent, and be free to move wherever and whenever you want 😎🏖️
Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I'll ask you a few. How is he going to support himself there if he can barely afford life here? I'm assuming he can barely afford it because he says he wants to visit but hasn't managed to. Or maybe he has commitments in the US. Married? Long-distance relationships are hard, and without goals and timelines they're harder. If a man really wants a relationship, he'll do everything in his power to make it happen.

Oh my God, it looks like a huge…

I can't believe I'm actually reading about permits in the Philippines…. 😳 Seriously? 🤨 😂😂😂
There are plenty of young foreigners. Try Buccaneer, Spirits Library and Run Rabbit Run. The Z Hostel rooftop is also great for young travelers and expats. This sub just has a lot of grumps; Manila is a great place to make friends. Dr Wine is good too, and Friday and Saturday nights skew younger. Have fun!

IN MANILA, 30% ARE WOMEN. I've been a Grab driver since 2019

What makes them expat cats? Do they complain about everything in the house but insist on staying even when the door's always left open?

We installed solar. Total cost was 750k, and our electricity bill went from an average of 10,700 a month to 560 a month. (For some reason I don't understand, our system stays connected to the outside grid and uses a little electricity.) So in round numbers, 121,600 a year saved. 6.2-year payback, about 16% IRR. I can earn 5% after tax on a bond, so it looks good to me. Two caveats: 1. Both the panels and the batteries have 15-year warranties, so there may be unknown future costs that would cut into these numbers. (Thanks to Alex Cawthorne for pointing out something was off with the warranty lengths I first wrote — now corrected.) 2. BUT my guess is electricity prices will also rise over time, making the monthly savings bigger. By the way, we bought the best available here. So here's hoping!
Personally, as a foreigner, I never give money. I did once, and 10 minutes later I saw them sniffing glue. If it's one or two kids and I'm at Jollibee, I'll buy them a meal, but around my house I always have something to do

The endorsements are on the back. You just went to the wrong LTO — go to a different one
Don't do it. I'm a local, and no condo or property owner or manager has ever asked me for a copy of my keys. In fact, two owners changed the doorknobs and locks after I moved in so only I could open the doors.
