My real estate agent wants a key to my place. I said no and she asked again, saying it's for emergencies. Is this normal?

It doesn't seem normal to me, but I haven't been in this country long. I can't tell whether this is weird or I'm just still adjusting to the culture.

Never hand them over

Don't do it. I'm a local, and no condo or property owner or manager has ever asked me for a copy of my keys. In fact, two owners changed the doorknobs and locks after I moved in so only I could open the doors.

Honestly, just buy a new lock anyway. I've always done this with rentals. Keep the old lock in the cupboard and put it back on when you move out. You never know who has copies

What does your lease say? Also, I'm assuming this is a condo, or is it something else? In a lot of condos the association bylaws say they're allowed access. In that case I could see your agent wanting a key so they can help you if you need it. I have several condos I rent out. The agent who helps me with the work has keys to every unit. I'm often glad she does, because tenants lock themselves out or lose their keys all the time. So I don't think it's super unusual, but I'd need more context. Personally, I'd give her a key and then put a camera by the entrance, so I could see if she ever comes and goes.
