Where do young foreigners hang out in Manila? Not girly bars

Hi everyone, can anyone recommend bars in Manila where young foreigners tend to gather? Ideally places with lots of people in their 20s and 30s.

I'm looking for a place with a good vibe where I can have a few drinks, chat and meet people. I'm not interested in girly bars or strip clubs, just a decent bar where it doesn't feel awkward to show up alone.

It doesn't have to be all foreigners either. A mix of locals and foreigners would be even better. Any spots or regular nights you'd recommend?

There are plenty of young foreigners. Try Buccaneer, Spirits Library and Run Rabbit Run. The Z Hostel rooftop is also great for young travelers and expats. This sub just has a lot of grumps; Manila is a great place to make friends. Dr Wine is good too, and Friday and Saturday nights skew younger. Have fun!

DR Wine in BGC. Very cheap for what you get compared with Western prices. It gets really busy at night, especially on weekends

The ones I know don't go out. They're worn out from work and commuting, or they'd rather do other things. The women usually stay in watching movies or scrolling social media, and the men play video games

Personally I'm pretty partial to the (non-girly) bars and clubs in Poblacion. If you want an even more local vibe, try Tomas Morato in QC (Quezon City).

I'm 30, from California, and lots of my friends from back in the US come to visit. The younger foreign crowd is usually at raves and EDM festivals. And most of us would rather host house parties than go out.

Manila isn't that kind of city
