Healthcare in Thailand is better. There are a few good hospitals in the Philippines too (St. Luke's in Makati comes to mind), but overall it falls well short of Thailand.

It is not hard to live here without caring what other people think.
Looks like you caught more fish than I did when I go fishing.
Not wearing a seatbelt is foolish anywhere. The same goes for not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle. Speed doesn't matter… I've seen whole families on one motorcycle without helmets, and no one stops a parent from holding a baby in their arms. I've never once seen a child car seat in the Philippines. It seems parents just think it's fine to hold the baby.
They say urine contains a lot of stem cells, and drinking it after it's been left to sit for 3 days is supposed to be the best.
Please listen to doctors, not people on Facebook who just share their feelings about it.
Everything is paid in cash. If you can't afford over 1 million pesos for a medical emergency, you shouldn't move to the Philippines.

I'm a retired YouTuber living in the Philippines with 2.5 million subscribers. My library of about 800 videos brings in a steady $2,000 a month.
My advice: after you get married, when you travel somewhere like Vietnam for your honeymoon and come back, show your marriage certificate at the same immigration line and get the 12-month Balikbayan privilege. Apart from the ACR card, there are no visa fees for 12 months and no BI office visits, and you just repeat it every 12 months. It's the cheapest way to stay here, and it's like taking a yearly overseas trip without paying the fees.
Travel advisories for the Philippines from many Western countries, including the US and Canada, say this: "Do not display any signs of wealth."
Just walk into a mall every 2 months, it's not hard.
