A sea turtle is currently laying eggs on the shoreline at Cabcaben Pier as of 9:15 PM, October 15, 2026.
According to a report from concerned young people hanging out by the sea, the Barangay was called, and they acted immediately to secure the area and manage the crowd of onlookers.
The barangay tanods will wait for the turtle to finish laying its eggs and return to the sea, then put up barricades around the nesting site so it won't be disturbed.
We have also informed the CENRO River Marshals.
