A Western-style restaurant on the corner where A. Santos Street meets Real Street in Balibago, Angeles, operated together with the Swiss Chalet Restaurant hotel on its ground floor. It's an old steakhouse that has kept getting reviews steadily from around 2012 up to recent times. According to a 2025 blog post, the hotel opened in February 2004 with 12 rooms and expanded to 25 rooms in 2005. The original owner retired in November 2019.
It's a yellow building flying a Swiss flag, with an interior decorated in wood. Many reviews say it feels like stepping into an old Western restaurant. Several reviews mention that many of the customers are Westerners. At the wine corner you can choose wine by the glass or the bottle, and imported beer is also available. Several Google reviews say the staff were friendly, but there is also a review saying they waited a long time after asking for the bill. One review says the menu is limited during the day and the salad bar is set up only in the evening.
The most popular dish is the tenderloin steak. You choose a sauce such as pepper sauce, and order one side such as French fries, mashed potatoes, or garlic rice. Reviews over many years say the meat is thick and the portions generous, making it satisfying for the price. Many reviews recommend cooking it around medium, and some say to choose the tenderloin over the ribeye or T-bone. For two people, there are reviews saying the oil fondue, where you cook the meat yourself in hot oil and dip it in sauces, is also nice to share. European dishes such as cordon bleu and schnitzel, as well as the mango shake, are praised in several reviews. However, one review says the goulash was watery, and another says the steak did not come out cooked the way they wanted.
According to the popular times on Google Maps, it gets crowded around 6 to 9 p.m. every evening. It is busiest around 7 p.m. on Saturdays, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays are relatively quiet. Reviews say seats fill up easily in the evening, so make a reservation or go early, around 5 to 6 p.m.
According to Google Maps, there is free parking and free street parking. The entrance, seating, and restrooms are wheelchair accessible, and there is group seating. The Mexican restaurant Tequila Reef is about 20 m away, Central Park Tower Resort about 50 m, and Fields Bistro on Fields Avenue about 100 m. Reservations and inquiries can be made by phone or through the website.
