I'm from Chesterfield, UK, and I've lived in the Philippines for 4 years and 3 months. I've been to immigration 26 times, and as long as I pay every 2 months, there's no problem. Processing takes about 30 minutes.

Such a dumb doodle
I think a passport with less than 6 months of validity is completely useless. I always renew mine when there are 12 months left so I never have to cut it close.

That sounds like so much fun!
I don't think the problem is on the Philippine side. The U.S. has strict laws on foreigners entering right now, right? A fiancée visa won't come through that quickly in about a year. I always believe you should handle the paperwork yourself. Embassy staff look for clean, honest intent before anything else, not just legality. In this situation, don't have someone else fix the documents for you. Have your son's fiancée take it one step at a time without bringing anyone in the middle. She'll learn a lot, and you'll be surprised how confident she becomes about her own paperwork. Good luck.

Don't miss New Year's Eve in Manila!! It's a massive private fireworks show and street party! We may also be hosting a rooftop party. If you're interested, send me a message. It's not for profit, just a fun party in one of the barangays.
Of course it has to run, since the grass is bigger than those tiny bugs!
You don't get the trickle-down effect, that's why you say that. I moved into R. Kelly's house and lived there.
Plot twist. The guy washing the dishes was Eliza.

This person was asking about health insurance, not a house, and real estate agents answered like crazy 😂 Look into Medicard Philippines, it's one of the good-value HMOs here in Cebu.

We've been married for 20 years and just bought land. I'm in my mid-50s, I have a daughter in her mid-30s, and no other family. I'm fine with the land going to my daughter and son. That's the plan.
If you're coming back, you don't need to downgrade your visa. When you leave, pay the ECC-B (3,380 pesos) and it's valid for one year. If you stay outside the Philippines for more than a year, you'll need to pay a new ECC-B for each year (or part of a year) you're absent. Have pesos ready. You can handle the annual report within 30 days after you return. If your ACR-I expires while you're abroad, you can still come back in, but you can't leave again until you fix it. If you don't plan to return to live in the Philippines permanently, downgrading is the better option. Allow 2 to 3 months for the process.
