[Warning: Animal deaths/abandonment] Ahjay Paws Aftercare in Bacoor shut down after animal carcasses found in Bulacan
Ahjay Paws Aftercare, a pet funeral and cremation business in Bacoor, has been ordered to stop operating. This came after the carcasses of 29 animals were found dumped in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. According to reports, the owner was unable to provide sufficient proof that the pets entrusted to the business were actually cremated, or that the ashes returned to owners belonged to their pets.
- Friday, October 30, 2026 — Rescuers reportedly found the carcasses of 29 animals in sacks and plastic bags in a vacant lot in Barangay Minuyan Proper, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Early reports said 26 dogs and 3 cats, and police later said 27 dogs and 2 cats.
- October 30–31 — As the discovery spread online, pet owners who said they had paid Ahjay Paws Aftercare for cremation and funeral services came forward. Some owners said the names and weights written in posts showing the recovered carcasses matched their own pets.
- October 31 — Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla announced the suspension of Ahjay Paws Aftercare's operations. City hall met with the owner, Jonathan Legaspi, and more than 30 pet owners. (philstar)
- October 31 — The owner reportedly admitted that he sent some of the pets to Calaocan for cremation. However, authorities said he was unable to present enough records or proof that the cremations actually took place. They also said they could not confirm whether the animals in the viral posts were pets that had been entrusted to this business.
- October 31 — The mayor said there was no CCTV footage to confirm the cremations and not enough documentation. The owner also reportedly could not guarantee that the ashes returned to owners belonged to their pets.
- As of November 1, 2026 — Bacoor ordered the business closed and directed the PNP to investigate the owner over possible charges including estafa (fraud) and civil damages. Authorities in San Jose del Monte are also looking into possible violations of sanitation and solid waste management rules.
If you used Ahjay Paws, or know someone who did, keep everything: receipts, GCash/bank transfer proofs, chats, photos, cremation certificates, pet records, dates, and any urns/ashes you received. PAWS has also advised affected pet owners to gather evidence and file a formal complaint.
We hope the affected pet parents can get help. If you have information that could help identify the animals that were found, please report it to the authorities or official channels rather than relying only on screenshots or posts.
Summary: The carcasses of 29 animals were found dumped in Bulacan. Ahjay Paws Aftercare in Bacoor was shut down because the owner could not prove that pets were cremated, or that the ashes returned to owners really belonged to their pets. The PNP is investigating possible violations including estafa.
I'm absolutely furious!! There's a claim going around that a former employee says they never cremated anything from the very beginning! The authorities need to check the records and trace back how many people were fooled. They should also investigate the crematorium they supposedly sent the dogs to, because there may not have been a real partner crematorium at all. And all of you pet parents who used this place, please file a case. You deserve compensation for damages. Make these people rot in jail.

The conversation feels kind of choppy
FYI, even if that axe is real, it doesn't need to be sharp enough to cut in order to do damage when you swing it. A lot of things like fire department axes are deliberately made "not sharp." The sharper the blade, the more likely it is to get stuck in the wood and not come out, which costs more time and effort. When you're making a hole in a wall or roof, a "blunt" axe is better since it won't get jammed in the wood.
