I live in Cebu and I've learned passable Bisaya. People here understand Tagalog, but you'd still be tagged as an outsider. I learned it because it's the one thing that screams 'I'm not a tourist, I live here.' Still, learning a whole new language as an adult is hard.

It's not surprising they might see a bit of scarring on your lungs. If that's all it is, I doubt you'd be denied. I'd disclose everything, because if you don't, they'll keep sending you for tests until they find the answer anyway. Cheaper and less stress. Just my opinion. Best of luck.
