Last week the ACR-I cost 3188 pesos ($50), plus 1000 pesos for the express lane.

Western countries like Canada are mostly First World countries where things work. That's why everyone wants to immigrate to the West, and there's almost nothing to complain about. The Philippines is a Third World country with lots of problems. That's why it stands out much more and is more irritating to someone coming from the First World.

How do I get to Red Street from this hotel?

Honestly, this doesn't look like a begpacker. Since he spoke Tagalog, I figure he might be a mestizo. Most Western tourists can't even speak the local language, let alone Tagalog. To me it just looks like another Jesus freak trying to collect donations for his own church. And he's wearing long sleeves in this damn heat. Most Westerners don't do that.
Makati Medical accepts Blue Cross. When my mom was retired in Manila, BCBS paid for her treatment.

It's the Christmas season and people are getting desperate. More crimes will happen.

Looks great!
I'm not from Europe. I don't know the situation in Slovakia, but usually you have to cut all your main ties with your home country (sell your house, not have family still living there, etc.). Capital gains on foreign income/stock trading are taxed at 0% in the Philippines (quite a few other countries do this too, so look into it, but the Philippines is the cheapest of them). What matters for establishing tax residency is how your own country (Slovakia) sees it, more than how the Philippines sees it. For example, the Philippines may technically consider you a tax resident, but that doesn't mean Slovakia automatically stops treating you as a resident. Slovakia may or may not accept an extended tourist visa as sufficient proof. You might need an official permanent visa (like the SRRV) to really prove to the Slovak tax authorities that the Philippines is now your new permanent residence. Seriously, don't listen to anyone here, me included. And don't contact "international expat tax specialists" or wealth management firms either. They're overhyped, charge a lot of money for limited advice, and take no responsibility. Overall it's a waste of time. !!!You need to consult an experienced tax advisor in your own country about this!!! If the answer isn't completely satisfying, keep looking for someone else until it is. That's the only way. Good luck.

Good info on motorbike rentals, thanks for the video 😎
What kind of absurd question is this? Which country's passport do you have? Look up the visa requirements for your own country.

This idiot still thinks I'm one of the victims. Clueless.

I really love watching animals play.
PNP: The rules apply to you guys, but I'm the exception.

Yes, there is. Search for 'Baguio Expats'. They also have a lunch meetup every Thursday.

Awesome.. If I ran into this in the dark, tired and drunk, I'd be genuinely terrified
These kinds of people are everywhere. I don't let people like that into my life, and I keep my distance from other foreigners too.
This seems a bit suspicious. China is going head-to-head with the US in building LLMs, so why is it ranked so low?
Wow, the scene with the cone stuck on its butt is hilarious. It reacts just like a person.
Nothing to see here. Just keep doing what you're doing. Seriously though, Airbnb is just a booking platform, not the law. What you and your guest (the tenant) agree on has nothing to do with Airbnb.

That's a real nightmare.
