Makati Medical accepts Blue Cross. When my mom was retired in Manila, BCBS paid for her treatment.

Credit card and cash. For me, the insurance costs more than the bills 😝🤦‍♂️

Does Medicare, which you get after age 65, still apply if you retire and live in the Philippines?

FYI.. what will you do if you have a heart attack or an accident while you're in the Philippines? You have to pay cash up front before they admit you. I know because I've been through it. Then they squeezed out every last peso they could. There are some good hospitals, but when an accident happens you can't choose the hospital.

Realistically, once you're over 60, there's no such thing as health insurance anywhere in the world apart from employer-provided coverage or government programs like Medicare that you earn by paying in steadily for a long time.
