Poor breed. They can't even swim.
I guess if most of them can't breathe anyway, being in the water doesn't bother them as much as you'd expect.
And apparently they can't see well either.
They can't smell either...
And they can't remember what happened 5 seconds ago...
How can she hesitate so much about getting into the pool.. If it were my dog, I'd have jumped in 2 seconds after throwing my phone.
That's what I thought too. I can't imagine a situation where I wouldn't instinctively jump in to save my dog. If my dog were drowning, I'd jump into a pond full of sewage.
Honestly, I'd do that for your dog too. It kind of pisses me off that so many people just stand there. I would have saved that dog and then said, 'What the hell is wrong with all of you?'

We had a pit bull at home that couldn't float because its muscles were so dense and it had almost no body fat. It always looked so gloomy watching the Labradors and the family play at the lake without being able to join in, so we bought it a small life jacket. It learned that it couldn't go in the water unless it had the jacket on, and when it did, it swam like a normal dog.
