Hi everyone, for those of you receiving a UK pension, how do you handle the life certificate (life form)? Do you wait until they send it to you, or do you send one in yourself first? If you do send it, how often do you send it?

What the comments sayAI summary of comments

Some people say you just wait for the paperwork that the UK side sends out about every two years and then send it back. Others say the mail was late or never arrived, so every year they printed the form themselves and sent it in, or handled it by phone. Still, some say a phone call is only a temporary fix and the restoration only becomes permanent once the paperwork arrives.

If you call this UK number, you can do it by phone. You just answer a few security questions. That's how I did it the last two times. Good luck 🙏

It takes about two years between forms. I fill it out and send it by LBC. It costs around 3,800 pesos, but at least it's guaranteed to arrive. The postal service is a joke — it takes 6 to 8 weeks and might not arrive at all. It's 2026 now, so it's about time they accepted an emailed version, even if a lawyer has to stamp and notarize it. The current system is an outdated relic that doesn't belong in this era.

You're better off printing it online and mailing it in every year.

My pension has been cut off twice in 12 years. I called and wrote letters too. They say if you tick a box on the form they'll text you to confirm they got it... but nothing comes. Useless idiots.
