I think it means women shouldn't try to become equal to men, but should try to become better than men.
So if they're already better, trying to be equal would actually be a demotion.
Are you sure? I didn't read it that way. I think it means women should try to be the best, not just equal.

I really hate that fortune cookies have totally given up on the concept of "fortunes." Nowadays they're almost all boring generic advice. They don't even pretend to be fortunes anymore.
I want to see some really ominous fortunes. "Damn it, stay home tomorrow." "If you keep going the way you're going now, you'll be buried in this shirt." "Don't trust them." "Be careful, on Tuesday there will be a lot of blood." "No one has ever been killed by a duck. Don't be the first."
