Angeles' Best Value for Beer Lovers

No matter which pub you go to in Korea, if you order squid and peanuts as a snack, the cheapest place is 12,000 won, usually 15,000 won, and expensive places charge 20,000 won.

When you order squid, it's always two pieces at any pub, with a probability of over 90%. All you get is about 30-40 peanuts and gochujang (red pepper paste). This is the typical setup at Korean pubs.

There's a street stall selling grilled squid next to Anunas Bridge at the end of Friendship in Angeles City, in Ferja's Alley. The prices are 15, 20, and 25 pesos depending on the size. The 25-peso squid is about 80% the size of the squid served at Korean pubs. So, for 75 pesos (approximately 1,800 won), you get more squid than what's served at Korean pubs. Add about 30 peanuts and 500 won for gochujang sauce, and you've easily surpassed the 15,000 won value of a Korean pub squid snack for just 2,300 won in terms of quantity.

Personally, I think this is an amazing tip and incredibly cost-effective.
