I'm having a "fun" time renewing my SRRV. The PRA is trying to help, but there's still some information missing. I thought I could do it directly with the PRA remotely, but it seems I need a representative, and I'm not sure whether the documents need to be notarized or whether the representative has to do that. Right now I'm thinking it might be easier to just fly to Manila for a day and do it in person.
Does anyone have advice on the remote renewal process?
I was told you can contact the PRA by email and renew online, and that if you go through a representative, you need things like a notarized guarantee letter and a power of attorney. Some people also said the easiest way is to renew on the spot at the caravan events the PRA holds as it travels around different areas.
If it's just a renewal, there's a very clear procedure for renewing online. I've been doing it that way for years.
Oh wow, PRA came to CDO not long ago and I renewed in 20 minutes. All I needed was my current passport and my current SRRV visa, and the 2-year renewal was USD 20 (PHP 1,240). That's it.
I thought the SRRV was for life and you only had to pay the annual fee. Is that what renewal refers to?
