New 4-Story District Hospital in Bacolor, Pampanga to Open Soon — 25 Beds to Start
📌 On Friday, November 6, Pampanga Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda and Bacolor Mayor Eduardo Datu toured the newly built four-story Ricardo Rodriguez Memorial Hospital Annex in Bacolor. While the licensing process is being completed, the hospital will first open as a 25-bed clinic, and later operate as a 75-bed Level 1 hospital.
■ What's Changing
· According to Punto! Central Luzon, the building was constructed from 2021 to 2025 with PHP 250 million in national funds through the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the provincial government spent about PHP 35 million on medical equipment and will also cover operating costs.
· Once fully operational, it will offer X-ray, 2D echocardiogram, and ultrasound, along with laboratory and diagnostic services.
· It is one of 10 district hospitals run by the Pampanga provincial government, so residents of Bacolor and neighboring towns will be able to get care without having to travel to San Fernando City.
· The official opening date has not yet been announced.
■ Tips for Residents and Travelers
· Since it will initially be only the size of a 25-bed clinic, it's best to continue using the existing larger hospitals for the time being for serious cases or detailed tests.
· Check announcements from the Pampanga provincial government for the official opening date and available departments.
