Thoughts on this kind of Filipina woman
What do you think of Filipinas who want a baby but don't want a relationship or any support? You'd just be a sperm donor. No relationship, no support, and the child wouldn't get your surname. They only want the baby because they want better genetic traits from a foreigner. Would you accept these terms? Just curious.
Considering the type of man who would accept those terms, I doubt the genes are that great
Whatever the nationality, my guess is the same. Once the baby is born, no matter what was promised beforehand, she'll try to get money for the child, even using the law as a weapon. Making a baby isn't a game, and raising a child to adulthood costs a lot of money.
As a Filipina, I think it depends on the woman saying that and her financial situation. If she's financially independent and clearly capable of raising a child on her own, she may genuinely want to be a mother without the complications and responsibilities of having a man in her life. Women these days can support themselves, so it's not especially rare. And it's not only with foreign men. I know quite a few Filipinas who had a child without a Filipino father and decided to go it alone. They just want to be mothers. Some of them even get artificial insemination. But if she's very financially insecure and can't afford to raise a child, that statement becomes much harder to understand. You'd start doubting whether she means it, or whether there's some other circumstance. Let's be realistic. In this bad economy, why would a woman who can't afford to raise a child deliberately push away a father who's ready to support the child and raise it together? If she knows she can't handle a baby, why would she choose to raise it without help? It doesn't make sense unless she genuinely dislikes the man and wants to cut ties. If anything, the normal thing to expect is the opposite reaction: a woman who is angry, hurt, and disappointed when the man who got her pregnant doesn't take responsibility for the child and doesn't want to show up as the father. And one more thing. A financially independent Filipina can absolutely still expect the child's father to show up, contribute, and take responsibility. Being financially independent doesn't mean she no longer expects responsible fatherhood. Then how much more would she expect it if she weren't financially independent? The point is, just because a woman doesn't need a man's financial help doesn't mean she's not allowed to expect him to be responsible for the child she brought into the world. lol These are two completely different issues.
