I don't understand what you're saying.
If you enter 1, then a space, then 2 on the third line, then 3 on the fifth line, and save, it will appear as 1. (first line), 1. (second line), 1. (third line).
The number should be 1.2.3, not 1.1.1. The formatting is strange.
Test... displayed as 1 2 3. Test... displayed as 1 2 3.
