Every time my brother's dog saw another dog on the couch, this happened. It would go to the door, my brother would open it, and the other dog would jump off the couch and run outside. Then that dog would take the couch spot. This happened almost every night. The smart dog was super smart. When we played fetch, the smart dog would only bring the ball back about 80% of the way. Then the dumb dog would pick it up and bring it to the person to throw again. The smart dog was already standing in position to catch the next throw.
My friend's kid did this to me once.

No, the kid sat at the top of the stairs (the signal that they wanted to go downstairs). So I got up to take them down, and they jumped up and took my computer chair.
