Indian man helping family lending business in Bacolod shot dead by two suspects on motorcycle
📌 Around 9:00 PM on August 4, an Indian man in his 40s riding a motorcycle was shot and killed by two armed assailants on a motorcycle in Villamonte, Bacolod City, Negros Island.
He was known to be helping out with his family's lending business, and police are tracking down the perpetrators with the help of witnesses and a "person of interest."
■ Incident Details
· Around 9:00 PM on August 4 in Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Villamonte
· The victim was on his way back to his motorcycle after buying groceries at a nearby market
· According to witnesses, two suspects on a motorcycle followed him, overtook him, turned back, and shot him
· Found dead beside his motorcycle with a gunshot wound to the head. Three empty shells and one bullet slug were recovered from the scene
· His belongings were left untouched, leading police to rule out robbery as a motive

· Indian national, age reported differently by sources as 42 (cited by GMA) and 43 (Bombo Radyo)
· Had been in Bacolod for about 5 months. Known to have helped with the family-run lending business — police stated they are verifying his direct involvement following the incident

· Bacolod police formed a special investigation team to trace CCTV footage and analyze mobile phones
