Automatic image compression upon upload

As you can see on KakaoTalk, there's an issue where uploading original images to group chats eats up the storage of users with "beggar phones" (phones with limited storage)...

This is because they don't know how to do it otherwise...

I'd like to request an improvement so that even if the uploaded image is the original, it can be processed and saved at a default resolution and size, creating a win-win situation for both the owner and the user!
