Are there real people on dating apps?

It seems some people in the Philippines are now hiring commission-based chatters to talk to people on dating apps like Tinder, Badoo, and PinaLove so they can get paid for it?

Is that even legal? Do they get insurance or anything? That's why dating apps are such a waste of time. Some people think they're talking to a local beauty, but it's actually a 19-year-old Filipino from Tondo telling them to invest or send GCash.

Dating apps have gotten so much worse over the past two years. I really feel sorry for the guys who haven't been able to find a proper long-term partner.

I've worked for companies like these, and you really need a thick skin. Yes, they hire women to chat with foreigners. The screen on our end is formatted differently, so I don't know which dating app it was. And I got fired after about a week. I just couldn't bring myself to deceive older retirees or disabled people. They're the target. Lonely people. Usually it's just normal chat. We get paid every time a customer opens a photo or video. If they don't buy any photos or videos, we get paid once the conversation gets deep, around 50 to 100 replies. How rude does it get? It goes as far as agreeing to meet and then not showing up. The best targets are people on pensions and lonely men. The ones who actually get rich are the American and Nigerian bosses who run this business. As far as I know, they charge about $7 per video and the chatter gets a few cents to about a dollar. My experience is from a few years ago, so it might not be accurate. So how do you know if it's real? Ask them to move off the dating app. If they refuse, that's the signal. Some will go off the app with you, but in the end they ask outright for money. Unfortunately, a lot of the chatters are men too. Be careful.

How do you even make money off this? Who's the client? Does the client know they're the client?? Why not just do it yourself and keep 100%?

I don't think this ad is about mainstream dating apps like Tinder or Bumble. It's about those 'dating' apps that give you a video chat with a sexy real woman for a few seconds, then tell you to sign up and pay if you want to keep talking. Google 'video chat dating' and half the results are these fake video dating sites and apps.

The same thing happens on OnlyFans. Models and agencies/managers hire Filipinos to pose as the model and sext with subscribers. They call those people chatters.
