Cyber Fraud Operation Like POGO in Muntinlupa Alabang House — 4 Chinese Nationals Arrested at the Scene
📌 On September 4, four Chinese nationals engaged in cyber fraud were arrested on the spot by the Bureau of Immigration at a house on Montillano Street, Alabang, Muntinlupa.
All four lacked valid immigration status, and one of them was a former POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator) employee who was already blacklisted.
■ Incident Details
· The Bureau of Immigration monitored intelligence reports that POGO-related operations were continuing on Montillano Street in Alabang.
· Mission order issued by the BI Commissioner on September 3 → Raid conducted by the Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) on September 4.
· Four individuals were caught at the scene while committing cyber fraud.
■ 4 Arrested Individuals (All Chinese Nationals)
· 30 years old: No identification documents
· 31 and 35 years old: Overstaying without valid visas
· 42 years old: Overstaying + existing blacklist (deportation/entry ban) subject, former POGO employee
■ Background
· Following the president's directive, the Philippine government completely banned POGO operations, and the Bureau of Immigration continues to crack down on remaining illegal operations.
· The Bureau stated it will continue intelligence-based crackdowns and requested public tips.
