It's a playground for adults, a sanctuary for adults.
It's an amusement park that's like a hundredth of Lotte World or Everland, shrunk down. It has all the essentials like the Viking, Gyro Drop, swing chairs, roller coaster, and carousel. Of course, don't expect it to be the same size as Everland. This is the Philippines.
The rides are much smaller. Still, if Everland is Pizza Hut, then perya is like Angel's Pizza.
There's one in Angeles City, and a bigger one in San Fernando.
Last July, when I went to the Philippines, I kept talking about perya, so my friend took me to one by the Anunas bridge in the Korean town. But it wasn't open, and I was disappointed. As we were heading home, guess what?! Suddenly, a perya appeared on our way home. Haha!
Is this for real? Did you know about this and go there? Was it a coincidence that a perya suddenly appeared before our eyes on the way home?? Are you telling me to believe this?? Really? Seriously?? With an unbelievable shout of joy at this little stroke of luck that suddenly appeared in our everyday lives, we paid for our tickets and went inside. If you want to ride the attractions, you have to buy ride tickets for about 70 pesos at the booth.
The swing chairs were incredibly scary. With no safety features whatsoever, you're relying solely on the ropes of the swing, flying sideways in zero gravity. The Viking was fun.
It's not just a simple miniature amusement park, so why is it a playground for adults?? That's right! Because of the shell games.
There were various shell games, reminiscent of the bustling streets of the 1960s. "Pick one, pick one! Bet your money and win money! Pick one, pick one!" The presence of these shell games brings back memories of that era. I tried one too. It's a game where if your coin lands precisely in a chosen spot, you win a multiplier of the number in that spot. Believe it or not, I just tossed one peso, and it landed perfectly in the spot marked '25'. The owner looked bewildered and gave me 25 pesos. I won 25 times my bet with just 1 peso. However, gambling is scientifically designed to make customers lose money over time.
In the end, I lost all 25 pesos and an additional 20 pesos before I could stop. But it was so much fun.
If you're a gambler!! If you're aiming for a big win, I recommend going. No minors allowed!
