Ahhh~~~ The monthly quests have reset...
It's June, so the monthly quests are reset... ㅠㅠ
I'm determined to complete them this month~~

This darn thing that pops up first when I type 'S' in my PC's web browser...

Questing again today!
The menu is diverse, prices are affordable, and the taste is decent. The basic gimbap is highly not recommended, but everything else is satisfactory for the price. Recommended.
YouTube tukomi channel.
It's a humor video where a rich person pretends to be homeless and does things that are impossible for ordinary Filipinos, then films their reactions. Watching this, I first realized that e-cigarettes are a luxury item for Pinoys. However, when I asked a friend if e-cigarettes were a luxury for Filipinos, based on what I saw in the video, they replied that it's not exactly the case. This series has three parts, and all of them have incredibly high view counts. I learned that Filipinos also have dreams, and there's a strong desire to vicariously fulfill those dreams.

I was bored and browsing Namu Wiki when I found this entry...
The mayor of Davao City is Rodrigo Duterte...
Didn't he go to jail? Besides, he was president, and after leaving office, he's going to take another high-ranking public office instead of returning to civilian life? Is that even legal?? I looked it up, and he did go to jail and was elected while incarcerated...
But the vice mayor's name is interesting. Sebastian Duterte...
It just clicked. Is he family? I searched, and yes, he's his son.
The son is acting mayor.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋ If it's like this, what's the point of elections? It seems like he could run from the grave, not just from jail, and still win.
The last thing that caught my eye was the 8 terms...
8 terms??? I mean, let's just say for simplicity that a term is five years, and he's 70 now. He would have to have been mayor since he was 30 to serve 8 terms. If we subtract the 5 years he was president, that means he's been mayor since he was 25. Is that even possible???
And his daughter, Sara Duterte, is the Vice President and is currently in a direct confrontation with President Bongbong Marcos.
The Duterte family, the rulers of the South, are in this state, and it's so absurd that I searched about the other two families, the Pampanga Queen Arroyo family and the Northern Luzon King Marcos family. It turns out they are even worse than Duterte, making what Duterte is doing in Davao seem mild in comparison.
.....Looking at it all, it's just a chaotic mess.
Unless they completely overhaul everything, it seems impossible to solve the structural problems.

These are wines I bought from a warehouse store in the Philippines, called 'Landers'. They benchmarked S&R (Korea's Costco) and created a warehouse store with even higher quality...
I'm planning a tasting event soon with some friends to try these, as they aren't sold in Korea.
The pizza is pepperoni, and it's incredibly delicious eaten fresh at the store. Highly recommend it along with the cheese pizza. S&R is a steal!!

The more I work on building a website, the more there is to do...
No wonder they have web developers!
Came to Landers to do some grocery shopping...
Oppa, soju?
What brand is this one?!

What on earth is this??
Doesn't it automatically reset after midnight?
Even if I post comments or check in for attendance, it's not reflected in the quests...
Please tell us the criteria! Sorry.

내일도 테스트 부탁드립니다
First teppanyaki is free, but from the second time onwards, there's an additional charge of 20 pesos per item - 1 star deducted.
They gave us an empty bowl without sauce, so we pointed to the other side and said "self-serve" - another star deducted.
The dried pollack soup tasted off - stars have flown away.
It's too hot for Koreans - stars are leaving again.
Side dishes are self-serve... - no stars deducted...
Eating there in person is only worth 1 star, but
it's the chicken place my family loves the most (Soi Chicken).

Sabong.
It was when I went to the Philippines in February.
It was the weekend, and I was lounging at my friend's place in Candipales, Cebu, when my friend asked, "It's the weekend, is there anything you want to do?"
Me? Well, I think just wandering around and sightseeing is the best.
Really? Then let's get out of Angeles City. Let's go to another city.
My friend and I were searching on Google Maps when a thought suddenly struck me, and I brought it up.
"Sabong! I want to try Sabong."
My friend searched around and found out where and when it was happening, so we headed there.
When we arrived, there was a sabong arena. In an indoor space right next to the arena, two large TVs were installed on the ceiling, and people bet on sabong matches happening in other regions.
There were only two Koreans, my friend and I. There were no Caucasians or other foreigners. The audience of about twenty people, excluding us, were all middle-aged Filipinos.
First, to understand the system, I watched about three matches without betting. I got the hang of it. You choose between a blue rooster, a red rooster, or a yellow rooster, and then you give your money to the staff in front of the TV and buy a betting slip for the amount you want.
I wondered if it was illegal. I had heard somewhere that Manny Pacquiao, a national sports hero and perhaps the most famous Filipino in the world, also raises sabong roosters. Since the country guarantees it, I wasn't worried that it was illegal.
The matches were intense. While watching, I learned that people usually bet around 100-200 pesos. So, I boldly bet 1000 pesos.
The matches usually end within a minute. In just one minute, one of the two roosters becomes chicken...
The odds don't go much beyond double. At most, it's around 1.7x, not even 1.9x. Given the 1/2 probability, this is understandable.
My heart pounded as I bet on the side with higher odds, but I failed. I lost my 1000 pesos in a disheartening way.
After watching a few more matches, I noticed that the side with lower odds kept winning. I reasoned that the roosters with lower odds were the proven ones with higher win rates, which is why their odds were lower. With this deduction, I bet on the side with lower odds. The result was a win. I bet again. Another win. I won twice in a row. Feeling good, I lowered my bet amount and bought two betting slips, one for my friend. The result was my friend won, and I lost...
Still, I was ahead.
If I had stopped there and left, I would have come out with a profit. But as expected, humans repeat the same mistakes. Ultimately, gambling establishments are designed to win, and individuals can never beat them. With continued betting, I eventually lost about 20,000 won and had to leave the place with a heavy heart.
I felt it for a moment, but it was incredibly addictive. Including the preparation time, it's about 5 minutes, but the actual match ends in under a minute. In that one minute, adrenaline and dopamine surge. Even after leaving, I thought about it for a while. This is why people get into sabong.
The Filipino gamblers had lost focus in their eyes, looking like dead fish in a fish market.
Having experienced the addiction, I don't recommend it to Koreans. If I were to do it again, I would only bring pocket change.

I went there a couple of times, maybe three, a long time ago. The food was honestly good every time, but the Korean owner was so incredibly rude that I'll never go back. The food is decent, but if you don't want your standards lowered, there's no need to go.
Five stars. I think it's the best value for money in the area. It's the place I trust the most to avoid any negative experiences. I believe both beginners and experts can visit without hesitation, have a great time, and leave feeling happy. Highly recommended.
Badge description needed.
I need an explanation for the badge titles. What kind of badges are these, exactly? Some are understandable even without an explanation, but I see badges that are impossible to figure out without one.

In Tanzania, I saw someone say "Iiiiii anayohaa anayohaa" to an East Asian person, and I'm not sure what it means in a group context... It doesn't seem like a good thing given the atmosphere... Even ChatGPT's answer wasn't helpful... They say it's a greeting, but watching the video, the atmosphere suggests it's definitely not a greeting. It feels like mockery...
Offering 10 coins as a reward to anyone who can tell me.
I wanted to post this in the Q&A section, but there's no option to upload videos there...
