Palawan is much better — Coron, El Nido, Puerto Princesa..
Being Filipino, you'll know about balikbayan boxes. Why not ask a balikbayan box company in Sydney? Most of them handle shipping containers as well as balikbayan boxes.

McAfee is a virus pretending to be an antivirus

My wife and I moved to the US in 2010 to specialize in internal medicine. We came back to the Philippines every year on vacation, except during the COVID years. Our twin boys were 2 when we emigrated. Their love for the Philippines grew, and they taught themselves Tagalog from books and YouTube. Long story short, my kids were happier in the Philippines than in the US. My wife and kids moved back two years ago, and I followed two months ago. We've also started an assisted-living facility here, plus a concierge telemedicine practice for expats. So we're moving for business as well as quality of life for us and the kids. I spent a third of my life in the US. You can learn to 'drive aggressively' here; I had to relearn it these past two months. The key to not blowing your top while driving is to think of drivers as making do with the limited road space the Philippines has. I just try a little empathy: 'let's understand each other, we've got very little road, so yes, you go ahead and I'll wait my turn.' It helps keep your blood pressure down. You can also make use of those pesky motorcycles. When you need to turn left at a busy intersection with no traffic light, they're suicidal and go first, so just follow their lead and they clear the way for your left turn. Lol! Also, you're a dual citizen like me. You have the best of both worlds: the Philippines, where your businesses are established, and Canada, where you spent half your life. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, think about what you learned in Canada that could make life better for Filipinos or expats here. Maybe you can build a business out of it. I'm still learning the ropes after two months here, but I think you'll be just fine.

That's not Filipino time, that's 'I don't respect you or care about you that much' time
So instead of buying a proper trash can or closing your car door, you beat a sick animal. If I'd seen that, I'd have beaten you within an inch of your life. Screw you.
I recently flew EVA Air from Dallas to Manila for my Philippines trip, and I was really impressed. The food was great, the seats had plenty of room, and the flight attendants were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I've flown a lot of airlines in my life, and honestly this was one of the best flying experiences I've had. I'd definitely fly EVA Air again.
You can fill out eTravel up to 72 hours before you arrive. Most people do it before leaving home. Any vaccines should be done before you arrive. Like with any country, check with your GP or pharmacy about what you need.
Wait, you have to take a test again when renewing your driver's license here?
Safer than the US.
I compared dental prices between Cebu City and Bangkok. It actually turned out cheaper to fly to Bangkok and get the work done there. Especially major work.

Like, mentally slow? Is that why they're both on the same side of the seesaw?

Better to book through Grab. They have a booth, or download the Grab app
OP, you must be American to be this bothered about race and ethnicity
If you think those are mostly expats, you're kidding yourself, but I'm sure you already know that. At least you stopped people from swearing, though. I don't know what I'd do if I saw a swear word on the internet /s
Yes, you can top up Viber and call US phone numbers. As you know, it doesn't solve the two-factor authentication issue with US financial institutions, but that's a question for another post. Peace out.
