An artists' village on a hill in Pinsao, Baguio, featuring the Cordillera Culture Village with relocated Ifugao and Kalinga traditional houses, art galleries, and a view cafe.
Google rating: 4.3.
Location & How to Get There — Located on a hill in 366-C Pinsao Proper, northwest of downtown Baguio, about a 15 to 20-minute taxi ride from the city center. From Angeles and Clark, it takes about 3 to 3.5 hours by car via TPLEX (approx. 175 km), or about 3 to 4 hours by bus from the Clark Airport Bus Terminal or Dau Terminal.
Highlights — A "living museum" established in 1998 by the Chanum Foundation, which relocated traditional Ifugao and Kalinga houses from the Cordillera mountain region. "Tam-awan" means "a place with a high viewpoint" in the local language, and features traditional thatched houses, sculptures, and galleries of local artists along sloped garden paths. Art and craft workshops (by reservation) are available, and you can even stay overnight in a traditional house.
Fees — Admission is ₱60 for adults, ₱40 for students and seniors, ₱30 for children under 10, and free for children 3 and under. Fees for picnics (groups of 10), bonfires, and traditional house accommodations are separate from the admission fee. The cafe serves local dishes such as Cordillera traditional chicken soup Pinikpikan (₱300) and Bagnet (₱320), along with Benguet coffee.
Tips for Visitors — Open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Comfortable shoes are recommended due to the many slopes and stairs. For workshops and overnight stays, make reservations in advance through the inquiry form on the official website or by phone.
※ Admission and extra fees are based on travel blogs from 2026, and operating hours and cafe prices are based on the official website, both of which are subject to change (verified on October 10, 2026).
Summary of Online Reviews
Synthesizing 6 Naver blog posts from 2023 to 2026 (4 personal reviews and 2 agency/language school introduction posts), many reviewers note that while it is not very large, it is a great place to leisurely explore Cordillera traditional houses and galleries while catching a glimpse of mountain culture. Several posts mention dance performances held in traditional attire to the beat of gongs on a small stage within the village, and visitors can even try on traditional costumes. Many mention that the paths and stairs along the hill are steep, feeling almost like hiking, so sneakers are recommended over sandals or slippers, with some noting that the dirt paths can be slippery the day after rain. It is often visited as a half-day course combined with the nearby Igorot Stone Kingdom, and some posts mention that on clear days, you can see all the way to the sea from the hill.
