A representative park right in the middle of downtown Baguio, where you can enjoy boating on Burnham Lake, renting bicycles and go-karts, and strolling through the rose garden.
Google rating: 4.5.
Location & Directions — Right in downtown Baguio, adjacent to Session Road and City Hall. From Angeles and Clark, it takes about 3 to 3.5 hours (approx. 175 km) by car via TPLEX (expressway), and about 3 to 4 hours by bus from the Clark Airport Bus Terminal (Genesis, JoyBus) or Dau Terminal. It is within walking distance from the Baguio Bus Terminal.
Things to See & Do — A public park named after the American city planner Daniel Burnham, featuring a central Burnham Lake where you can rent rowboats, and rent bicycles, go-karts, and tandem bikes around the lake perimeter. It connects to a rose garden, children's playground, skating rink, and Melvin Jones Grandstand, and admission to the park itself is free.
Rates — Following the completion of lake maintenance work (closed since October 2025) and its reopening on September 1, 2026, the Baguio City government set the boat rental rate at ₱250 for 30 minutes, regardless of boat size. Right after the reopening, some vendors charged ₱350–450 for 30 minutes, prompting the city to launch an investigation, so if they ask for more, mention the city-designated rate. For bicycles and go-karts, the city ordinance caps rates at ₱50 per hour for mountain bikes, ₱80 for choppers and tricycles, and ₱100 for go-karts. Since many places actually charge by the 30-minute block, be sure to check the rate board at the rental shop.
Tips for Visitors — It gets very crowded on weekends and holidays, so weekday mornings are best. Baguio has a low annual average temperature with frequent afternoon rain and fog, so bring a light jacket and an umbrella. It is great to explore on foot along with Session Road, Baguio Cathedral, and the night market (on Harrison Road in the evening).
※ Boat rates are based on the Baguio city announcement and media reports from September 2026, and bicycle rates are based on city ordinance caps and blog posts from 2026, which are subject to change (verified on 2026-10-10).
Summary of Online Reviews
Synthesizing 5 Naver blog posts (from 2018 to 2026, including 4 personal reviews and 1 language school introduction), many reviewers mention that while it gets crowded with families and couples on weekends, the atmosphere remains laid-back and relaxing. There are people offering henna tattoos along the lakeside promenade, prompting many travelers to try them on the spot, though reviews advise asking for the price first since it varies by size. Several posts also mention trying street snacks like cotton candy and tahoe. On one side of the park, there is a small amusement park featuring a roller skating rink and bumper cars, with a 2019 review noting that the facilities were dated. A November 2025 review noted that boating was unavailable due to lake construction, while praising the park for being consistently clean and well-maintained.
