We live in an age of globalization (and have for generations now).

I'm a mixed Filipino (Indian-Spanish), and I'm happily dating a Filipina girlfriend (Spanish-Chinese). We've both traveled a lot and met people from all over the world, so we've experienced a wide range of cultures. I've been visiting this subreddit for years, and every time all I see is guys chasing the wrong Filipinas lol. And I'm 100% sure the women you should actually be meeting are somewhere else.

I want to point out that women of the type similar to me are socially "hidden." That means you have to build your own path to reach them. Let me show you a framework for finding a healthy person.

Build a network. The more your connections span different industries, the wider the net you can cast.

This is advice that works anywhere: work on yourself first. Then someone will definitely show up. Don't chase people for no reason.

Traditional women won't mind if you approach them. Just don't be oblivious. If they're interested, they'll give you signals like women anywhere in the world. (This is obvious, but surprisingly many people can't do it.)

If you've caught the eye of a woman from a solid family, be ready to meet her family. I've heard that parents from the other side of the Philippines are fine to avoid, but in this case you can't ignore them. Otherwise, from that point on you'll be Sisyphus, endlessly rolling a boulder uphill to win her interest.

This may come as a shock, but the Philippines is a country built to be divided into those who rule and those who are ruled, and that divide exists in modern society too. It's easy to tell apart the families who act within the lines I described and those who don't.

In my view, most foreigners chase the Filipinas on the opposite side of that line. If you insist on doing so, your ethics and morals need to be extremely high, because you'd have to bear every bit of the trauma those women have carried from generations of oppression.

You only need two brain cells to know this isn't some new revelation. And it's not just a Philippines thing either.

It seems like things like "mixed Filipino (Indo-Spanish) and Filipina (Spanish-Chinese)" are just called "Filipino" here. I doubt foreigners care that much about local ancestry either. An "American" is usually "American (Irish-German-English)" or something like that, but nobody brags about it online. But I find it interesting that you place yourself as a member of the Philippine ruling class and tie status to bloodline. The West doesn't have nobility anymore, so it's fascinating to watch people like that here.

I agree with the point of the post to some extent, but in the end you showed that you're a pathetic egoist obsessed with status. Here's my "secret" to finding a Filipina wife: when you're a fresh grad just starting out, volunteer for a Philippines posting at a Western company. Then, in the office, look for a woman who goes to church and believes in God, who isn't elite but graduated from an upper-middle-tier university (e.g., Saint Louis University in Baguio), and who rejects the worst parts of Filipino culture. You can "trade up" based on her own qualities, not her family connections. The "decent" universities in the Philippines have lots of middle-class students, so they make great marriage partners, and their kids or nieces and nephews can even get into "elite" Philippine universities if their grades are good enough. And if someone in the family earns a respectable salary in the US, paying tuition is easy. Even in America, I'm not drawn to marrying into a snobbish family that thinks generational wealth makes them special. Let alone a family whose wealth mostly came from plunder or unethical means.

When are the liberated Filipinos in this subreddit going to come point out this classism and racist talk?
