Ugnayan sa Pasig Response
Sharing a glimpse of good governance, and something that should be a given in our country.
After seeing a post on Reddit by a citizen about a garbage collection truck with worn-out tires (CTTO), I decided to report it too. It was my first time filing a report, and I got confirmation that action had been taken in less than a month.
With everything going on across the country these days, I'm really glad to be a Pasig resident.
Something that could have taken months, or maybe never happened at all, was handled right away, for the safety of not just Pasig residents but everyone who drives in Pasig.
And still, there are people who want to tear down Mayor Vico's current administration. I hope one day they'll be people who are on the side of the Philippines, not on the side of any political party.
Half a cup Half full: they listened to a citizen and took action. At least there's a line of communication between citizens and the government (sadly rare in most LGUs). Half empty: the danger was plain to see, yet it took a report to get basic maintenance done.
This is the 'good governance' the DDS people are cursing. They're the ones with the real crab mentality (utak talangka).
I hope someday this becomes the minimum standard everywhere in the country.
They failed a basic vehicle safety inspection and only got warned after someone died. This isn't a sign of good governance, and I don't see what there is to be proud of..... same for any mayor, any city. I also don't see what the mayor's name has to do with this What a dystopian time we live in
