You probably thought you were getting a beer...
Same. But I can see why it could be a problem.
Taking it one step further is no big deal. Instead of hiding in the beer cooler and jumping out to scare people, just jump out to check IDs. Problem solved.
The real horror is this: "Here you go, I don't need to see your ID."
About five years ago, a young employee habitually asked for my ID, then (before I'd even pulled it out) looked up at my face and asked, and I _apologized_ to them.
For a second I thought Dad was getting a beer. Now I feel sorry for Dad.
No beer, only horror.
I want to try it right now too, but I'm scared of getting punched in the face.
Remember that video that came out of the archive? Some guy jumping out of a trash can in a high school hallway. A big Black kid was being interviewed, and he turned around and punched the masked guy in the face. Edit - wow, crazy [classic](https://www.pinkbike.com/video/89733/)
lol I would've fallen for it too. I was expecting beer to come out
