Thank you all for the great advice I've received here. One more request 😁 My 3-year exit deadline is coming up. I don't want to go back to the US and would like to stay somewhere nearby. Where would be a good place for a day trip?
In 2025, I flew from Manila to Taipei at 10:30 PM on June 24. I landed at 3:00 AM on June 25 and left again at 10:30 AM, arriving back in Manila at 2:30 PM. I went through immigration and got a new visa stamp. It's valid until 2028.
We've been to Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok.... They're all great for a quick trip out and back. We stayed 3 nights as a mini vacation.
Pack one backpack full of snacks, stay in the airport lobby nearest to you, never leave the airport, and plan your return for a different date. Depart at 9 PM... arrive somewhere at 11:45 PM. Fly back at 5 AM the next day without ever leaving the airport... be back by 9 AM. It's a 12-hour round trip where you arrive on a different day than you left. No hotel needed, no checked bags needed, no need to leave the airport. If you don't bring snacks, you might have to buy food at the airport.
