Who planned this? Someone needs to be held accountable. This is irresponsible use of taxpayers' money.

Why a launch event?

They could have just done it simply. Damn, BIR doing this just wasted taxes. Somebody must have gotten a cut. Was the video deleted?

It's not only at the BIR. Other government agencies are the same. Sometimes they deliberately let only a few employees know, so if someone reports it, they can easily trace which office leaked it. We did that too. Our area was in a state of emergency but we went elsewhere, and we were told not to post. Nobody posted, but someone reported to 8888, and we got scolded for being reported. They asked why we reported it. lol We didn't even do it.

I work on building ERP systems, and when I asked about the EIS that the BIR is mandating by the end of this year, our product team said there's a lot lacking and there are security issues. FYI, we're the ones who build the EIS setup per region. So in the end it's going to be launched half-baked again like OLATS.
