I have a question about the SRRV and the outbound (30-day) flight ticket.

Hello, I have a question about the SRRV and the outbound (30-day) flight ticket.
We're planning to go back in March to get our SRRV and stay for 7 weeks.

We've already booked a round-trip ticket for that time, but do we also need a separate throwaway outbound ticket for after the 30 days?

Thank you

Yes. Onwardticket.com.

There's a lot of wrong info here. The first 30 days are visa-free and Immigration expects you to leave within that period. So you need proof of an onward/return flight leaving within that window. "Onward/return ticket requirement: airline and immigration staff often check for a confirmed ticket showing you will leave the Philippines within the allowed stay period for visa-free or tourist entry (usually 30 days or an extended period)."

It took almost exactly 6 weeks. I also applied for an extension just in case.

The PRA handles the extensions while your SRRV is being processed.
