Hello! ๐Ÿ˜Š
I'm planning to spend New Year's in the Philippines, and I'm traveling solo!

If there's any group of foreigners who'd like to celebrate New Year's together, I'd be happy to join.

Can anyone recommend a good place to spend New Year's? ๐ŸŽ‰

Are there any shows, fireworks, or special events too?

Thanks in advance for the recommendations! ๐Ÿ™

Come sing Videoke (Filipino-style karaoke machine) with my family! ๐Ÿ˜Š Seriously though, hotels hold New Year's events and you can watch the fireworks with the other guests. Try Googling the area you want to go to...

Metro Manila has huge fireworks, and on January 1st a lot of people are missing a few fingers. Where I live, there's a big free concert. My wife and I book a meal at a restaurant with a balcony overlooking the park. The bands are all Filipino, and I leave early because it's December 31st in the US and I have to go to work. My wife stays with her friends. It's not a club or nightlife thing. Enjoy your trip.

California Expat โ€” join that FB group and click EVENTS. There's a weekly Wednesday meetup in BGC and Cebu, and there may be a Christmas meetup too, right John Smulo?

It's a terrible time to travel to the Philippines.
