Is it okay to buy my girlfriend a laptop?
Some foreigners even send their girlfriends 1,000 euros a month. That's a third of their salary. My girlfriend earns 30,000 pesos a month, and a laptop costs 20,000 pesos. If I earn five times that, is it reasonable for me, as a "man," to financially support her like that?
In the US or Europe, 20,000 pesos would be a month's worth of food.
Some people here brag that they sleep with women for the price of a cup of coffee, but that's abusing power and economic stability, and it doesn't feel fair to me.

If you want to buy it for them, just buy it. Do you need permission from a bunch of strangers? If that bothers you, you can frame it as a 'birthday gift' or 'Christmas gift' so it doesn't feel like you're spending money out of nowhere.

Depends on the relationship. But why are you asking Reddit? That seems like the bigger problem. If you're confident in the relationship, do what you want. I've been married to a Filipino woman for 10 years. We met online and have two kids. Our relationship is great. My wife would have refused a gift like that, and she actually did refuse.
