I've got a dilemma and could use some help.
I know I can bring up to two bottles of liquor into the Philippines. But I can't find Balvenie 15 anywhere, so that plan went out the window.
I don't drink much, but when I do, it's usually Scotch or Old Fashioneds.
Any recommendations for something that's hard to find or ridiculously expensive in the Philippines? Ideally something around 15โ21 years old that would be nice to open over the coming holidays.
What would you bring from the US?

Get a Macallan 18 or Glenfiddich 18 at S&R
Two years' worth of razor blades and refills. Whatever anyone says, just bring them โ you'll thank me later. You can get pretty much anything here, but quality and Chinese knockoffs are the problem.
If you fly via Taiwan, the airport has a great selection of hard-to-find Scotch whisky, and the prices are the lowest I've seen.
Total Wine. They have everything you can think of. Absolutely huge, and top quality.
Well, as a Scot I could point you to several hundred quality bottles. One of my all-time favorites is Caol Ila 15 from Islay, a single malt. Another is Balblair โ I used to live almost next door to it โ the '92 is lovely, but it's hard to get even in the UK. I still have a collection of about 100 bottles back home, and I quit drinking about 2 years ago ๐
