I'm so mad at myself. I've been taking PrEP to lower my HIV risk, but I never even thought about other STDs. Over the past month or two I've been secretly hooking up with a few women I met at Secret Door, so I honestly don't know exactly who I caught it from. I was drunk and never thought about checking anything out first. Then last week I noticed a bump on the head of my penis and went to get tested, and it turned out to be genital warts. Now I have to live with this for the rest of my life and I don't know what to do. Fuck.

Most guys only worry about HIV when they go without a condom. Do you know about HPV? Hepatitis B? Syphilis? Gonorrhea? Super gonorrhea? Genital herpes? That's at least 6 serious STDs you need to watch out for. And what exactly is a 'genital wart'? If it's herpes simplex type 2 or type 1, you carry it for life. There's no cure. If it's from HPV, it does go away, but some types of HPV cause cancer, so you need to be careful. Honestly, going without a condom in a place like the Philippines carries a high risk, man. Sooner or later you're going to catch some kind of STD, and herpes is so common that it's really easy to get. These girls don't use protection. They haven't had any sex education either. If she's easy with you, she's easy with other people too. So going without a condom in the Philippines means being prepared for genital herpes at the very least. Be thankful it's nothing worse.
Can't warts be removed? I thought they were curable. Herpes is the one that stays for life.
