Riding Bikes with Dad
Who on earth designed the gate to open outward onto the bike lane?
Doing something like that would make them a cycle-path... oh, I mean a psychopath. Sorry.
This reminds me of a tweet I saw: A guy sat next to me on the train. * Guy: There are a lot of psychopaths around here * Me: Really? * Guy: Tons * Me: How do you know? * Guy: There are signs, right? * Me: Are there? * Guy: I love them (47 minutes of awkward silence.) The guy got off the train with his bike. That's when I realized he'd been saying "cycle paths."
No, that's a proper dad joke. It's fine.
It's not a separate bike lane, it's a sidewalk.
So kids, always wear a helmet. Someone can do something stupid right in front of you and you can fall. If you hit your head wrong, you could be changed for life or die. The lights go out. Wear a helmet.
When I see a kid riding a bike in a helmet, I say "Wow, cool helmet 😎!" It's positive reinforcement for riding safely, it gives the kid a little confidence, and parents always smile or nod at me.
Wow, I'd pay a million dollars for a bike ride with my dad.
That kid is definitely a future biker. The first thing they asked after it was over was "Is Dad's bike okay?"
I was waiting for the second door
