Those pigeons are totally doing that on purpose lol. The squirrels are just curious about what it is.

People keep feeding the squirrels and birds... Everyone's coming up to people, because people are food..... The ducks are herding their babies toward people too. They know they're going to get fed.

I think someone scattered seeds on the grass to get the geese eating and coming their way, and the pigeons and squirrels just wanted in on the free food.

True story: my grandpa (passed away in 2018) was a quiet guy. 195cm tall and skinny. He'd lie in his armchair and just listen to everyone else talk. So whenever he did speak, everyone went quiet, figuring it had to be important. Somehow squirrels came up, and grandpa said, "Yeah, when I was a kid I set squirrel traps." To explain, he wanted to keep them as pets. My mom (his daughter) asked, "Dad, how many squirrels did you keep?" He narrowed his eyes, thought about it, and said "40." I remember thinking to myself, "Wow, what a country bumpkin."
