To be fair, that does look like it'd be the worst thing to clean up in this aisle, at least 😅

And the most expensive, too

Yeah. And it's like their training kicked in.. "When an earthquake hits, the first thing you save is the liquor." Maybe after a devastating earthquake, liquor is the best-selling product

I worked in a supermarket for five years, and red wine bottles breaking on the floor was one of the worst things to clean up — if not *the* worst. Glass goes freaking everywhere and it stains like nothing else. I'd be doing exactly the same thing 😭

To be fair, what's on those shelves is probably worth more than everything else in the shop combined. On top of that, it's probably more fragile than most of the other goods. If I had a personal stake in the shop, that's what I'd be trying to save too

Yeah, those guys are pretty lucky nothing tipped over on them.

I don't know how common earthquakes are in Panama, but if they were common enough that I'd prioritize the alcohol over getting out of the building (or whatever the best move during an earthquake is), I wouldn't put anything on shelves like that in the first place.

Shut up, man — "people in Panama shouldn't use shelves." Dumbest take here.

I love how they're all laughing about it. Either they're not worried at all about the building coming down, or they're all laughing because they know, "Yeah man, we'll die for this booze."

If all those booze bottles had smashed on the floor, that would've been one hell of a nasty mess to clean up. I don't blame them one bit.
