Can I call landlines in the US with Viber from the Philippines?
Yes, you can top up Viber and call US phone numbers. As you know, it doesn't solve the two-factor authentication issue with US financial institutions, but that's a question for another post. Peace out.
For anyone moving to the Philippines, the best way to stay in touch is to buy a Magic Jack at Walmart. When you activate it you get a local number, and calling the US or anywhere from the Philippines is a breeze. Look it up online, it's called Magic Jack. I pay about 75 dollars a year.
I use Messenger for calls because it's free. You just need to download the app
WhatsApp . . .
Viber is pretty old school, and it's not as reliable or as good quality as Messenger or WhatsApp
