The standard commission is one month's rent, which goes to the owner's licensed broker and then gets split with the unlicensed agent. If the unlicensed agent actually brought in a signed contract, it's usually 50/50. If a licensed agent working under a licensed broker handles both sides of the deal, it's usually 70 to the agent and 30 to the broker. There are too many variables to cover everything, but you should get the general idea. For pre-selling condos, roughly 3% of the sale price goes to the agent. The average income for someone in their 20s is probably around 13k–16k a month. It's a rough but safe guess across all industries. Those kids are fresh out of university and might still be getting an allowance from their parents. Both of my state's federal senators and nearly all of my state government officials are members of my club, and I paid a fraction of what they're asking in Manila. With something like that, you only need to collect a commission once if you can find someone stupid and arrogant enough to donate that much to the Philippines Even if your girl is getting money from other foreigners, in my experience there's a good chance none of them have ever slept with her. Doesn't really matter unless you're going to marry her, does it?
