Has anyone here used the GL.iNet Slate travel router? If so, how was it, and was it actually worth the money? I'm thinking about picking one up for travel and remote work.

I've used them in a couple of ways. I put Nord on one and run it alongside my Philippine Wi-Fi, so I have both a Philippine IP and a US IP. Say you have a work laptop and can't install a VPN on it. I connect it to the GL.iNet (US IP), so the work laptop doesn't need a VPN. Those are the same routers KeepYourHomeIP uses. The antennas are a bit fragile, though, so keep them away from young kids. There are something like 5 different GL.iNet models, and I've used a few. Not sure if one was the Slate, but GL.iNet is solid.

I just bought one myself but haven't used it yet. It seemed more capable and flexible than the other, more plug-and-play options.
