I once swam under a pontoon boat and grabbed my buddy's fishing line. I gave it a hard yank, and he fell over backwards trying to set the hook.

It's a pontoon boat. They're out on a lake or a slow river. If they're just using drop shots, the hook could be a mere 10 feet straight down under him.
