My dog says no (No from me dog)

Hope you enjoy it. I've been sending cartoons to The New Yorker for about two years, and they finally just published my first one (https://www.reddit.com/r/BummerParty/s/ZaY0Psbbki). Sadly, they passed on this one.
Yeah, I don't get this one.
Pirate talk tends to turn “my” into “me,” like “me hearties” and “me booty.” And there used to be a judge on American Idol whose famous line to contestants was “It's a no from me, dawg.”
It's also pulled from a really old meme
I'm having a hard time believing such an insanely complicated meme exists
Read that in a Scottish accent.
“Kevin, we talked about this. I'm a judge, not a contestant”
What's the joke?
There are two parts to it. Randy Jackson was a judge on American Idol back when it was relevant, and his signature line when judging contestants was “It's gonna be a no from me, dog.” When pirates talk in pop culture, they usually swap “my” for “me” to show ownership (e.g., “where is my treasure” becomes “where is me treasure”). So the pirate is saying Randy Jackson's famous line in pirate speak, but with a different meaning. I thought it was solid. Better than 95% of the puns Redditors try to come up with, at least.
