Do foreign wives really leave their American husbands that often?

Most marriages fail wherever you go these days. It's not just women in the Philippines. And if your marriage fails, it says as much about you as it does about her. Choose well and invest in your marriage.

Nah, don't listen to this rubbish. If you need evidence, look at how strong the Filipino-American community in the US is. At the end of the day, if you're a stable, honest man and ...... (didn't meet her in a bar in the Philippines), your chances of a long, strong marriage are better than your neighbor's marriage to a local

You said "foreign women," so I guess it's not just Filipinas. I'd imagine the divorce rate between citizens and immigrants is about average. I'm American; I married a Latina and did the immigration paperwork in 1996. She divorced me after 30 years, and I pay $2k a month in alimony. She changed 180 degrees from who she was at the start. Anyway, I'm taking my chances with a Filipina this time and keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes.

Statistically, you're more likely to get divorced if you marry an American woman than if you marry, say, a Filipina you bring home. Something like 20% of marriages to a Filipina spouse end in divorce, compared with 40%, or by some statistics over 60%, with an American woman.
