At least Vanessa Williams got the top billing she deserved
After seeing Nolan's Odyssey, I came home and watched this to cleanse my brain. Isabella Rossellini as Athena! Bernadette Peters as Circe AND Vanessa Williams as Calypso?!?! It really was an awesome cast, and Christopher Lee was amazing in that scene.
That movie is actually a fun watch. It's so cheesy, but that's kind of what makes it hilarious and awesome.
Like the original Dune. I've never seen this Odyssey, but my dad made me watch the old Dune and it had exactly that vibe lol
Armand Assante is great in this. And if Vanessa Williams wanted me to stay on a tropical island with her foreverโฆ there's no way I'd leave. Favorite line: Telemachus, now is the time for your angerโฆ
It premiered on TV first. It was a huge late prime-time event back then.
